Natural gas LDC geo-targeting sales and marketing application

For a prominent natural gas local distribution company, we designed and implemented a geo-targeting database and sales targeting system that enabled the LDC’s sales teams to identify residential conversion and cross-sell targets more profitably via enhanced information about each building. For the 19-county footprint, we consolidated assessor parcel and building data with the gas LDC’s distribution engineering digital maps and customer database. Geo-location algorithms identified the distance of each home to the nearest gas main, and we gave sales representatives the ability to build their own custom digital maps as they prepared for their daily visits to targeted neighborhoods. Conversion and cross-sell response probability models were used to score houses and neighborhoods for the most profitable targets.
